Beck Moore
Beck Moore is a resident of Palmyra, PA, and has over two decades of leadership experience in the non-profit sector. Currently, Beck serves as the CEO of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP), working to strengthen, advocate for, and empower the network of 43 Community Action Agencies, serving every county in the Commonwealth to effectively address issues of poverty and uniquely addressing Social Determinants of Health. Drawing from personal experiences, Beck is deeply committed to exploring how identity, geography, and health intersect within the context of poverty in Pennsylvania and on a national scale.
Driven by a dedication to values-based leadership, Beck specializes in member-based organizations, with a focus on membership growth and program development. His impactful contributions extend across various roles within youth serving organizations, where he garnered national recognition for stabilizing and expanding membership through innovative program initiatives. Beck holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Penn State and a master's degree in human resources from the University of Scranton. He is actively engaged in numerous boards and committees at both state and national levels, some of which include Fairness Pennsylvania, United Way of PA, County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations, Interstate Renewable Energy Council WAP Enhancement and Innovation Committee, Parents as Teachers Advisory Committee, and others. He also regularly educates on topics such as health equity, workplace culture, and challenging assumptions.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Beck finds joy in the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping, but also reading, and writing. He cherishes the adventures has with his wife, six- and seven-year-old children, and three silly dogs. Currently, Beck is working on his debut book, and hopes to help others heal by sharing his journey of trauma and how he was able to begin living authentically.
