Amber Buker

Amber Buker is the Founder and CEO of Totem, the only digital bank and tribal payments platform built by and for Indigenous people. She formed the company after becoming the second Indigenous woman in the U.S. to raise a multi-million dollar venture funding round.

Prior to founding Totem, Amber served as a fintech advisor to bank executives through her roles creating the FinXTech Connect platform for Bank Director and serving as Director of Insights for the Alloy Labs Alliance. A recovering attorney, former magazine contributor, and occasional podcast host, Amber has interviewed hundreds of leaders in banking, fintech and tribal government, and regularly speaks for national audiences about what she’s learned from their work.
